Calling all Fitness Professionals - Be a part of Boot Camps With a Purpose WorldwideGreetings,
My name is Lauren. I am involved with an amazing project of fitness, goodwill and charity fundraising
called Boot Camps With a Purpose Worldwide. If you are not familiar with this movement here’s what we are doing:
Locations around the globe, fitness professionals and enthusiasts, are giving workouts, charging a reasonable rate
and donating all the money to the charity they choose. We are all listed on the website, http://www.BCWAP.org. We work together
along with the headquarters in Philadelphia, PA, U.S.A. to market events both locally and internationally.
Please
contact me if you would like more information, would like to be considered as an official BCWAP location or get involved in
some way.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Yours in fitness,

New Year's Resolutions - Don't Do it On Your Own!Ah, the infamous New Year's Resolution. Do you have one? Is it attainable? How are you going to put it
into action?
You know you best. With me, I need accountability. I tell a close friend or
two what my NY Resolution is and I tell them how I came to choosing it and how I think I'm going to achieve it. Then
I tell them I'm going to keep them updated with how it's coming along.
My walk with Jesus compels me to different
NY Resolutions - ones that affect everyone around me. Those have been so incredible to me - in that I asked God what
my NY Resolution should be and that He told me! It struck my heart and head so that I was just amazed. And
the great thing about my faith is that I know that I don't have to do it all on my own - if I did, it would be like all my
other NY Resolutions - UN-resolved! But reading His word and His promises, and walking out His commands and obeying
and trusting, my Resolution is RESOLVED!
2 Corinthians 1:20 (New International Version) 20For no matter how
many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to
the glory of God.
I chose one a few years ago in which I didn't realize that it would take longer than a year to
achieve, and I'm so excited that for that one it's been a resolution that not only I acheived but one that I continue to strive
toward maintaining. That has been the best one I've every committed to!

Intermittent exercise - the best exercise? For decades, exercise professionals
have been emphasizing the need for structured exercise as the guiding tenet of physical activity and exercise program design.
It is now clear that too much sitting is hazardous to one's health, regardless of whether one meets the minimum daily exercise
guidelines or not.
Change your daily habits at your workplace, home, etc. Find ways to site less and stand more throughout the day, particularly during sustained periods of sitting, thus incorporating
spontaneous physical activity in your day. Reduce your sedentary behavior by incorporating some of the following activities
throughout your day:
- Stand up and
walk around the office every 30 minutes
- Stand up and get some water
- Walk to the farthest bathroom in your facility
- Always stand
or walk around while on the phone
- Consider getting a standing workstation for
the computer
- Take a 5 minute walk break with every coffee break
- When you email a colleague, walk to their desk to follow up
For the two-hour timeframe spent watching TV and reading, some of these options might
work:
- Get up and move during every commercial
- Take a 5 minute walk break every 30 minutes
- Set a stationary
piece of cardiovascular exercise equipment near the TV and use it for several minutes every 1/2 hour.
- Stand up and do some easy (not strenuous) lunges or squats at least once every 1/2 hour.
- Stand up and move for the opening segment of each TV show.
- Get
up and walk around the room or house after reading a preset number of pages in a book.

9 diet tips that could be making you fatThere is so much media thrown at us daily for diet and weightloss and exercise sometimes it makes you dizzy! I found
the following article to sum everything up in regards to eating, or related to your diet (and not necessarily dieting).
Woman’s Day helps separate the helpful advice from the diet busters You've
heard that every rule has an exception, and that’s especially true when it comes to dieting. There’s lots of good,
sound advice out there, but sometimes sticking to it too closely — and not considering the nuances — can get you
into trouble. Banning chocolate, for example, might seem like a great way to cut calories … until you find yourself
devouring an entire chocolate cake late one night...click the link below for more:
